SLOVENIA
Romania-Timisoara
ROMANIA
Through our project we were thinking to describe different influences that left their print upon our town's architecture over time. These influences created the bohemian atmosphere in Timisoara, and due to this the city is known as "Little Vienna".
Timisoara is a multicultural city, which has gathered many influences over the centuries, mostly from German, Hungarian and Serbian communities, but also from a Bulgarian, Italian and Greek source. Beside from this ethnic and religious diversity, we have to mention that Timisoara is one of Romania’s economic engines, a higher education center with a long tradition, a city with an exceptional cultural life, but also a center of communications and transportation.

Poster for Exhibition
Hi Everyone
Here is the poster advertising the exhibition of our work. It will be in Cockermouth on the Saturday (I don't think we have the manpower or will to hold it for two days- the Saturday will be enough I think). We can set up on the Friday and make sure everything looks right, we'll also have time during the week to check out the space and make plans.
See you all soon

Slovenian team work process
First concept:
We are planing to make a process from painting below. We aim to recreate similar view on a village, including the cultural environment, through digital photography, and than bringing it back to painting media, so we can see the difference of two aspects. First, the elements, that are changed in everyday life, difference in life, and second, Our view on the world today (ofchourse with refference to the painting)
Second concept:
Third concept:
We will try to recreate situations from old photos, from the same position, but with updated people and objects, in the same environment, however it looks like now, so we can play and search the differences.
still don't have digitalized images, work for this weekend ;)
so what about everybody else?
post your projects, so we can discuss on differences, similarities, whatever ;)
cheers!

Second concept:
We wil make a kind of timeline colague of the burying of Pust (Name for a mascot we use for the end of the carnival, in Slovenian language the same word as Carnival, double meaning, like miss Spring) event, with which the tradition of carnival in our city Cerknica started. The goal is to represent the visual and cultural aspect of Pust's history
